The DUNC range of Benches and Round Tables is suitable for any roof garden, public space or private garden where you can create a stylish set-up. Thanks to its pure simplicity, it suits every look. Benches, Circular Benches and Picnic Sets are easily attached to ground level using stainless steel countersunk bolts.

Fabricated in the Netherlands from sturdy 10 mm Corten Steel frames and Garapa Hardwood cladding DUNC Benches, Circular Tables and Picnic Sets come with a five-year warranty and are sure to enhance the grandest of designs.

Installation

Provide a flat, solid (vibrated) surface to avoid stress in the product, thus avoiding future damage.

Place the FURNS concrete footings in your desired position and set them on a stable base.

Place the DUNC Circular Bench on the concrete base so that the holes in the base plate match the screw sleeves of the base. Use a forklift if necessary to take the bench's weight and support both ends evenly when lowering into position.

Position the bench on the concrete base so that the holes in the base plate match the screw sleeves of the base. Loosely tighten all bolts first and then tighten them one by one.

Cover the concrete base and base plate with soil and finish the area to your liking. Pay attention! Ensure that the footplate is 150 mm below ground level to maintain a seat height of 450 mm.

Optional Concrete Foundation Feet

Concrete foundation feet are an additional option. Although not always essential, we would advise using these, especially in the public realm.

Wood Maintenance

Clean the bench with WOCA exterior cleaner and seal with WOCA exterior oil to ensure that the pigment in the wood retains longer.

Remove any dirt as and when using clean tap water. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner.

Corten Steel Maintenance

Corten Steel, also known as weather-resistant steel, is a steel alloy made of iron that has copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium added that is low-maintenance, weatherproof and durable. We do not recommend using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km from the coast. The Corten Steel will arrive not fully weathered, so be aware, as the Corten Steel weathers runoff may occur. We recommend the application of 'Owatoral' varnish once the Corten Steel has weathered; this will stop the product from rusting any further. 'Owatoral' varnish is available in 0.5Ltr and 5Ltr tins online.

FURNS DUNC Benches, Circular Tables and Picnic Sets are generally made to order. As a guide, the current lead time is approximately eight weeks. On the occasions that DUNC Benches, Circular Tables and Picnic Sets are in stock, the lead time is two to three weeks.

Dispatch Methods

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

Shipping Costs

We charge a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland.

We charge a flat rate of £50.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland if your order includes an ADEZZ product.

We are not able to offer a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to East Central Scotland, North and North East Scotland, West Scotland, Norther Ireland, ROI, Skye, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles, Inner Hebrides, Isle of White, Isle of Man and the Channel Isles and a surcharge will apply. What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Southern Planters Ltd easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this, so it is important that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Southern Planters Ltd of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
