Strong, wear-resistant Corten Steel U-Block Garden Pedestals, initially designed and still commonly used to display ADEZZ Corten Steel Water and Fire Bowls at height, are also used to elevate garden planters and urns, busts, sundials, and garden statues. In addition, it is not uncommon for Art Galleries to use U-Blocks for exhibiting both internally and externally and for customers to store wood.

Corten Steel, also known as weathering steel, is a steel alloy made of iron with copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium added. Corten Steel is low-maintenance, weatherproof and durable.

ADEZZ Corten Steel U-Block Pedestals will arrive un-rusted (blue steel) or part rusted. Once exposed to the elements, the Corten Steel will naturally weather, commonly known as the 'weathering process' (see thumbnail images). However, please be aware that a 'run-off' from the Corten Steel will cause staining throughout the weathering process.

After several months, a protective layer of rust will form a natural orange-brown colour; this fixed coating will protect the Pedestals against further corrosion.

Please unpack the Corten Steel Pedestal(s) immediately after delivery so that any moisture between the packaging and the Corten Steel Pedestal(s) does not remain sealed. Failure to do so will result in irregular rust and stains.

Dispatch Methods

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

We are not able to offer a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to East Central Scotland, North and North East Scotland, West Scotland, Norther Ireland, ROI, Skye, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles, Inner Hebrides, Isle of White, Isle of Man and the Channel Isles and a surcharge will apply. What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Southern Planters Ltd easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this, so it is important that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Southern Planters Ltd of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
